After a whole year of following beauty bloggers buying various stuff, are you guys still feel good about another new list of goods to buy? This year @cosme has nominate 196 awards out of 684,740 products. Today we will introduce the award of each category to see whether they are worth buying. If you just treat cosmetics awards as a beauty news magazine, to learn some product information and reviews, it would be much better than a shopping guide. After all, it depends on everyone’s skin type, environment, and climate.
First of all, What is the Cosmetics Awards?
Cosmetics Awards is according to the users’ vote result of thousands of beauty products on the most significant beauty information website of Japan(@cosme). This website is not so commercial based, just like other user-review websites, so that the reviews would be more authentic.
The site established in 1999 and 99% of the users are female. Each year this Cosmetics Awards will choose from 10 million products base on users’ rates.
What these awards cover?
Before 2015, Cosmetics Awards is a one-year event. After that, it changes into half a year in both June and December. I always think that the list in June is a bit gimmick, so I mainly concentrate on the annual list, which is released in December and is the impact of each brand marketing. There are a total of Grand Prize, Hall of Fame, Year-End Best New Buys, Category, and Top Beauty Trends these five units. Let’s focus on the ‘Hall of Fame’ Award. The product needs to be the first in its category for continuously three years to get this title. It almost like the lifetime honorable in the Japanese cosmetics industry since there are new products every day.
